Test Calculations

Test calculations have found that replacing a conventional mixer shower with our Air-Powered shower can help achieve compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations* and, as less water is used, it can also help with Part G.

Download the SAP Appendix Q spreadsheet. Please consult our guidance notes if you have any queries.

Part L*

  • Reduced DER and DPER by up to 10 percentage points.
  • Achieved minimum emissions and primary energy targets with up to 2 PV panels fewer.

And, when connected to WWHRS (System A):

  • Reduced DER and DPER by up to 27 percentage points.
  • Improved SAP score by up to 2 points.
  • Achieved minimum emissions and primary energy targets with up to 4 PV panels fewer.

Part G

  • can help reduce the dwelling consumption of potable water to 105 LPPPD as required in Building Regulations in 2025 (using the fittings-based approach). In fact, along with other efficient water fittings it is possible to reduce water use to 75 LPPPD.
  • can help qualify for a water efficiency discount of up to £280 per plot (applied to infrastructure charge by water and wastewater companies). Please find further information here: https://www.ofwat.gov.uk/environmental-incentives-to-support-more-water-efficient-new-homes/

While lowering homeowner water and energy bills by around £385 per year**.
