Kelda have won the Water Saving Domestic Product of the Year Award at this year’s Energy Saving Awards, as well as being finalists in the Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year category.
Kelda’s Air-Powered™ technology has been acknowledged by the Energy Saving Awards for its advanced carbon reduction capacity, initially being nominated for two awards:
Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year
This category recognises manufacturers and suppliers of innovative energy saving products, helping users reduce their energy consumption.
Water Saving Domestic Product of the Year, sponsored by Navien
This award aims to highlight products and solutions to reducing the UK’s household water usage, with population growth and climate change likely to increase the strain on water supply.
The Energy Saving awards is organised by leading publications PHAM News, who recently featured Kelda in their October 2023 issue, and Energy in Buildings & Industry (EiBi) – part of Datateam Business Media.
The event celebrates the very best products and projects across the plumbing, HVAC and energy management sectors, acknowledging the significant strides made towards reducing carbon emissions and becoming more energy efficient.
The Future of Showering
Kelda represents the future of sustainable showering, our innovative Air-Powered™ technology injects water into air. It marks the beginning of a new era of sustainable showering; one of unrivalled experience, high-efficiency and responsible clean-technology.
Kelda’s Air-Powered™ showers are the result of over a decade of research and development, with the objective of making less water feel like so much more.
Our Air-Powered™ showers meet the highest energy performance standards, and the saving benefits they offer homeowners have been verified by Energy Saving Trust.
EST is an independent organisation, providing support to governments and businesses, who promote energy efficiency in an attempt to prevent man-made climate change.
EST verified the following claims:
- A Kelda shower uses less than half the volume of water than a standard mixer shower.
- A typical home could cut their energy carbon emissions by about 10% (350kgCO2e) by replacing their standard mixer shower with a Kelda shower. This is equivalent to planting 125 trees every year.
- A family of four could save around £100 a year on their energy bills by replacing their standard mixer shower with a Kelda shower.
